Nick Kyranis

BACKGROUND
Nick Kyranis was elected to the position of Junior Vice President at the 1999 Annual General Meeting of the Association. Nick has been a member of the Darwin & District 8 Ball Association for 6 years and was Vice President of that Association from 1996 until taking over as Acting President in 2001. Nick has now stepped down from that position to concentrate on Northern Territory Eightball.
Nick renewed his previous interest in Eightball when returning to the Northern Territory in 1991 and has been active in the sport since. Previous sports committee experiences were in Little Athletics, Speed skating and Tenpin Bowling.
Nick’s overriding motivation in Northern Territory and Darwin & Districts Eightball committee work is to help in the recognition, embracement and participation of Eightball by the community at large, not forgetting the existing membership and their needs.
Nick graduated in Science with majors in Geology and Physics and worked in the Petroleum Industry in about 10 different countries. He is currently employed as Senior Technical Adviser for Exploration and Exploitation activities in the Timor Gap Zone of Cooperation. He has been a Justice of the Peace for 20 years.
