BACKGROUND

Ken Kernich has been President of the Northern Territory 8 Ball Association for a total of seventeen years since 1984 and continuously from 1988.  

Ken has been a Delegate to the Australian Eightball Federation since its formation in 1984.  He was an Executive Member of the Federation as Junior Development Officer, for a period of 4 years, and for the past 6 years has been an Australian Eightball Federation National Team selector. 

Ken was the first umpire to receive A grade levels at National level.

Ken is the Associations representative on the Executive Committee of Casuarina All Sports Club.  Ken is a Life Member of both Northern Territory 8 Ball and Darwin Associations. He has worked tirelessly for Eightball in just about every capacity

Ken is joint-proprietor of a successful family-based electrical contracting company K. K. Electrical Pty Ltd which was established in 1978.  He is currently Vice-President of National Electrical and Communications Association (NECA) NT and a councillor on the National NECA body.  Ken holds positions on the Electrical Licencing Board of the Northern Territory, the Industries Training Advisory Board NT, and is a committee member of the Centre for Energy Studies Northern Territory University.
